Steve Rindsberg is the CEO, COO, CFO of PPTools, where he develops popular add-ins for PowerPoint. There, he presides (he’s the President, too) over a vast staff (himself) and reports to the cats and any of the many foreign students that he and his wife have serially adopted. He began his professional life with a degree in Political Science. Armed with that, and little else, he’s spent his career as a photographer and multi-image slide show producer; doing
computer graphics and service bureau work; and for the last ten years writing add-ins for PowerPoint. From developing film to developing software. Some day, perhaps, he’ll find a use for the degree. PowerPoint Online
Rename Files in PowerPoint Online and OneDrive
Unlike PowerPoint programs that run on your computer devices, PowerPoint Online provides you with an option to rename an open presentation. When you create a new presentation, PowerPoint Online uses a default name such as Presentation 1, Presentation 2, etc. This mimics the desktop experience. But did you know that you can provide a new name to the presentation while you are editing? Additionally, you can also rename within OneDrive, and this is similar to renaming your files in Windows
Explorer. We look at both approaches in this tutorial.
Share PowerPoint Presentations on Social Sites (Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn) using OneDrive
Microsoft has some amazing options for sharing Office documents online. We have explored sharing PowerPoint presentations using the Microsoft Office Web Viewer and OneDrive. There is a third option also on OneDrive that lets you share presentations on social sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. You share these presentations via a link with your friends, colleagues, and family.
